There's too much trash in Laguna Beach.

Together with local businesses, zerotrashlaguna (ztl.org) is a grass roots movement of residents working to create a zerotrashlaguna. Though tourism & our population has exploded, the city has failed to provide a sufficient infrastructure of public receptacles. -ztl will be petitioning the city council for the addition of at least 1 can per block, incorporating ashtrays & recycling

zerotrashlaguna's initial goals:

1. More public trash cans.

Even if you want to discard your trash today in laguna there are not enough street or beach cans to do it-now only 1 every 3 blocks. our petitions to the council verify lagunans want more trash cans, especially along PCH.

2. Public recycling

likewise, if you want to recycle on a public street, you cannot. ztl's cans will add recycling.

3. Public ash cans

we don't advocate smoking, but feel smokers should be able to toss their butts in public ash cans rather than our streets.
